Kick It Forward Foundation
About KIFF
Our Story
Kick It Forward Foundation (KIFF) is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization based out of Southern California. KIFF was established in June of 2023, six months after its founder, Avery Frankel, went on a family trip to the Amazon Rainforest in Peru. The Frankels paid a visit to El Chino Village, a small community on the banks of the Amazon River. El Chino is ninety miles from Iquitos, the nearest city, and is home to a few hundred locals, many small homes on stilts (for when the water level rises during the wet season), a small school, and a population of children who love to play soccer. Despite limited resources, the children played with makeshift goals, a worn-out ball, and while running barefoot in the dirt; they warmly invited the Frankels into their game, where the group welcomed them into their vibrant, happy community. Deeply moved by the connections formed and a shared love of soccer, Avery was inspired to support the children of El Chino and those like them… and just like that, KIFF was born.
About the Founder
Hi! My name is Avery Frankel, and I’m the founder of Kick It Forward Foundation. Soccer has been a cornerstone of my life since early childhood, encompassing involvement in recreational leagues, two club programs, and the varsity team at my high school. My experience at El Chino Village inspired me to create KIFF to spread my passion for the game, but since then, it’s evolved into so much more. Personally, I oversee drives, establish partnerships with different organizations, lead community fundraising efforts, engage with our beneficiaries, generate publicity strategies, and ensure our resources are allocated in the most impactful ways possible. I have a deep love for KIFF and its mission, and I look forward to fostering deeper connections and achieving even greater impact in the future.
