LA Fire Relief (2025)

The day after the fires in LA began, we immediately sent out donation solicitations. KIFF focused mainly on comfort items for children affected by the fires, and we supplemented supplies as needed.

Pictured above is the second round of donations - we received fifty brand-new Dodger blankets, infant care supplies, stuffed animals, board games, pet food, books, and clothes.

We ultimately distributed six truckloads of items to five different organizations: Iglesia del Nazareno in Pasadena, LA Bulls Soccer Club, Palisades Lacrosse Program, Union Rescue Mission, and Marymount High School.

On our first day of distributions, stop number one was Marymount High School. The school is located in West LA, and a significant portion of their student population were heavily affected by the fires.

Sorting hundreds of pounds of donations was quite a process, but it was so heartwarming to see the incredible generosity of our wonderful LA community.

Through the immense tragedy faced by thousands of people in the LA area, we witnessed such immense levels of unity, collaboration, support, and kindness. Thank you to everyone - donors, KIFF partners, shelters, schools, firefighters, and the hundreds of local organizations - who contributed to the cause. We're sending wishes for healing and recovery to our community in the days, months, and years to come.
